This is what I thought you meant. Some people believe that turning cigars is a necessary thing so that the cigars burn even. The theory is that the moisture in the cigars sinks to the bottom, and therefore burn uneven. This is a bunch of hooey in my opinion. I keep my cigars in boxes in coolers. Many of them I don't touch for a few years, and the burn on them is great IF the construction is good. There is absolutely NO NEED to do this.
In fact, I have been making a concentrated effort to touch my cigars as little as possible. The more you handle them, the more oil from the cigar goes onto your finger, and therefore changes the aging of that cigar. This is my theory, but it seems to make sense to me. Plus, the more you handle a cigar, the more likely it is the wrapper will be damaged.
