I so agree, sheesh. If you don't want to pay $12/$15 for a cigar, that's fine. But some of us are interested in these and would like to discuss them :dunno:
Can't we leave the bashing to another post, its getting old. Let's talk.about the 09, I for one am in for a 10ct.
I'm sorry guys if my post started anything. It was not meant as a bash.

Can't very readily discuss 2009, without mention of 2008 can you? When the concept is "futures"....I think the past is absolutely relevant.

And is there really ANY bad publicity??

Maybe we should ask Charlie Sheen :transform

Agreed and me too. Wish I could do more then a 10er, but didn't expect this this quick. I'll look to order more before price jumps up if cigar fund rehabs quickly.

This is a completely different cigar than the '08 which was all one type of tobacco. The only similarity is that it came from the same farm and manufacturer. It may also be the last time or only time you see a DPG/PJ cigar with the legendary Pelo de Oro leaf in it. I read somewhere that the Don was not going to grow that leaf again.

All of the press on the '09 going back about a year now has been overwhelmingly positive especially when compared directly to the '08. Add all that up and the fact that these are not going to cost me $25 per, and I will be buying a box of these and maybe a second for investment or long term aging. This has been #1 on my list of boxes to buy this year.

The 2009 is a much better smoke than the 2008. You cannot even compare the two. Do not discount this stick based off of the 2008 vintage...

Pa,
What are peoples thoughts on robusto verus Churchill.
For those who have smoked both does one stand out?
It says the Churchill is the flagship size.

On the 08s I thought the Robo was a blah smoke, the chuch on the other hand I found very good.. I have not been fortunate enough to try any 09s.

For the 08s, the Churchill was the better choice, by FAR (IMHO)...

Don't know about the 09's yet, but some people here have smoked both...

Disclaimer: I have not smoked any of them, and because of price/availability may never.

But in regards to bashing. No-one bashed anyone in here. It is a discussion, between gentleman, in regards to cigars.

Bottom line was that some were less than impressed with the 08 release, and some were blown away. I believe both opinions are welcome here. As long as it is done in a respectful manner.

Wish I wasn't poor. Things look delicious and from everything I've heard they sound great. I miss out on all these great Tatuaje Limited Edition and higher end cigars. Some day... :)
