@SailorAg We have them here at Happily EverAfter on warm summer's evenings. This female puts out a scented hormone that attracts males. This moth does not eat or drink, is blind and only lives about 72 hours after it emerges. The photo doesn't really illustrate the size of this moth. It is nearly as big as my hand.

@jolietilfire Yep. That is a Luna Moth just like the one I posted photo of. That one is a little beat up and near the end of life but it is a Luna Moth, a male in fact.
