wet before you cut

I usually moisten the cap, yes. Someone on here mentioned it once, so I tried it ... now it's my standard and I seldom mess up the head when cutting now (when dry, it seems they are a bit easier to crack).

I don't get it. If u dont cut the entire cap, why would the wrapper fail. Of course the cigar should not be dry.

Yes, I always have!

And I only use "my" cutter, I never use the B&M's cutter. I usually have several in my pocket anyway....straight, V-cutter and punch!

never, I do test draw after cutting though often. I am with Larry here, I was at a local B&M recently and saw someone wet their cap then proceed to stick it into the large table cutter... No thanks... That is just not right in my book...

Alright...you guys have convinced me. I'll never use a public cutter again.

I guess I never really thought about it before...but I will from now on!

That's nasty. I never use the public cutter manyway, but that's a reason not to.

I alkways use my own cutter. Hell thats why I bought the thing. I also always wet the cap before cutting. i don't know where i picked this habit up and had to go smoke a cigar to realize if I did or not but i do.

Gonna have to try it. I have noticed them blow apart upon cutting from time to time.
