  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

What are we smoking tongith gents?

I smoked an Ashton VSG Torpedo tonight. I wasn't impressed. Has anyone smoked one with some time on it ?

I've only had a handfull of Ashton VSG's and they all just had a straightforward tobacco taste to me...full bodied but lacked complexity. Not my cup of tea. I think a couple did have some age on them. On a side note there is a couple boxes of these at my local B&M, every single cigar has a ton of plume on them. They are quite a sight. If I liked these cigars that would truly be a treasure chest.

What cigar is that in your avatar Diesel? Is that a Short Story?

Yessir. That it is. Good to the last draw. After I took this pic I stood it up vertical on a table. Still held the ash. Great Smoke.

Spent the evening in this northern mess with my BIL and newbie Brother Joe Gar at a new local hiding spot. A place called Smokin Joes in Rochester Hills here in Mich. Very quaint spot. Nice, but limited, selection. Got talked into a Grand Habano 3 Siglio DC Church. What a lovely smoke that was. I was warned up front that it may be an ass kicker at 70%, but did not quite end up that way. It was a very consistent, all around smoke. It got a little potent at the last inch. Herfed it until I couldn't hold it. Joined with the special mix Port that Dino (Owner) mixed up for us. It ended up being a great evening. Oh, yea. And the wife went to Kid Rock with the girls. What could be better than that. Except herfin back stage with the kid.

Thinkin about buyin a box. We'll see. If so, bombs away.:smokingme
