I always think about cold winter nights sitting around drinking, or indulging in a non-tobacco smoke, with my uncle when I hear this song. His wife had left him, my parents had fallen apart, and my mom had sent me to live with my dad in a house with no heat. We went through some grieving with Hank Jr. Unfortunately he never pulled out of it.
