about using clear plastic tubes in a travel humidor instead of foam trays. My 18 cigar case would hold about 24 tubes. The tubes would be similar to the clear Drymistat type tubes. Clear so you can see your cigars. Not a heavy tube, but still would protect your cigar pretty well. Tubes would be cheap, so you can hand them out without breaking the bank.

I would worry that they would slide around in the tubes and either chew up the foot or tear the wrapper. But given that you put a foam spacer at the bottom of the tube to keep them from moving around.... why not?

Theres so many cigar sizes though, each cigar would have to get the right size so you have to worry about having a stock of the different sized tubes or something. If the tube is too big the cigar would be bouncing around in there.

For Airline travel probably not for the reasons mentioned above. For taking to a local gathering Yes, I think it would be cool to gift someone a cigar in a tube. If they smoke it you get your tube back, if not @ a buck a piece no biggie.

It would be great for gifting people cigars. I really enjoy the trays used in conjunction with a humidification device. Ron, I use your upgraded trays and think they work perfectly.

I think you'd be better off marketing the tubes separately to be honest.

For traveling, and especially if I'm packing up the larger caddy, I don't want to be putting each cigar in a tube. I'm lazy.

nice idea, but my smokes are already protected well in the Caddy, so I wouldn't buy the tubes for additional protection. JMHO

I agree. I would think they would sell better if they were marketed as gift tubes or shipment tubes opposed to being used in caddies.

A tube would be great for gifting though. Like at work if I wanted to give someone a cigar, I could use a tube....
