When i got my packages from Steve and his gang my humi was at 78 degrees and 55 % humidity, I finally got the damn thing stabilized so in a day or two those beauties will be just fine...

it is also coupled with the fact that I live in a 50 year old house.. my room with my humi is upstairs so it is even hotter up there... I would put the thing downstairs but i dont necessarily trust my roomates with the majority of the contents....

I use an oasis II. By bottom shelf tends to stay right on 65% and my top shelf right on 63%. I have noticed some of my CC smoke a little better at 63% so I keep them on top now.

I'm fighting like hell to get my cooledor down. Its been super humid here and every time I open it, bam it jumps up. I have a full pound of 65% beads and the sucker won't go below 69%. I have been dumping cedar into it like a fire place. I guess too many new boxes at once. You can really tell the difference as those babies close up tight at 69%. I hate no draw and have taken to setting them in a pre-smoke desk top for a few days. Any ideas?

Between my humidor, the heatwave, and the atmosphere my cigars can be anywhere from %69 RH, to %78 RH.

I am pretty discouraged.....

Chuck, try taking the beads out and hitting them with a hair dryer
Just make sure the setting is on low!

I had to do this too. I ended up being happy with 1/4 white beads and 3/4 clear.
I'm sitting right at 65% even though outside rH is upwards of 80% most of the time.

I need to take mine out and dry them. It has gotten pretty humid in the basement.

What cabinet are you getting Bert?
An Aristocrat end table cabinet w/temp control by Bob Staebell. Natural maple with natural cherry inlay...should look gorgeous. Being able to control the temp is vital where I live, as there is no area of my home that is naturally cool.

Man, I'm antsy as a kid with Christmas approaching waiting for this baby!

Funny, it holds around 40 or so boxes plus the singles drawer and I was absolutely certain that this would be plenty big enough...ha! Everyone knows how that goes! I can certainly see now how the collecting bug can bite you, and bite you bad!
Nice! Can't wait to see pics!
