  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

you ever smoked? For me, it was a Rocky Patel. I know its a good brand, and I dont even know what Patel cigar it was. All I know was I fired it up, and threw it away as fast as I could. It was the most bitter, sour, harsh cigar that I ever tasted. I guess it can happen with any brand. What was yours?

Mine was actually the R.P. Diesel. I just did not enjoy it at all. I have heard these are ok so I might revisit it ut its going to be hard to do.

Rocky Patel 1999 vintage. Tasted like cardboard with hints of cheap. I hate em... and will not be smoking any ever again!

Hmmm.... For me, it was a Perdomo Champagne, but in it's defense, it probably wasn't the smoke itself, just that it happened to be the one right after a GREAT smoke. ( A Tat J21) Perhaps I'll give it another chance when it can be smoked as a stand-alone!

A 5 pack of Dominican Cohiba Robustos. I got them online and they didn't ship humidified. I threw them in the humi, but I really wanted to try one. The next day I took one out and attempted to smoke it. I used my punch cutter and couldn't get anything. It was so tight. I didn't have my guillotine cutter with me so I struggled through it and gave up halfway through. I gave the smokes about a week and then decided to try another one. I cut it with the guillotine and lit it up and the same thing. This time I brought a poker with me thinking I was prepared but no. I still couldn't get a draw out of it. All it did was rip the wrapper. Again I gave up after like 2/3. I tried the third one a month later with similar results and gave up. I gave away the other two to a friend and said good luck.

I would say, HdM Excalibur Legend.. it was salty, nasty, couldnt get farther than a inch into it. I do enjoy the HdM Excalibur Prensado though.

Luis Martinez Sterling Churchill, there are no words that can describe how unpleasant an experience this was.

I hate these "What was the worst" threads. I always end up wanting to try some of them out to see what was so horrible. It always ends up ugly!

I had a buisness associate give me a box of gen-u-wine Cuban Cohibas. Not. But I thought, what the hell, if they smoke good, a cigar is a cigar, right? Again, NOT!

Rocky Patel Cuban Blend (house brand for Famous cigars). My wife who is really understanding about cigars banned me from smoking them in the horse barn - so they smelled worse than horse S**t and to be honest didn't taste much better. Sad part is that I really like the RP Vintage 90 and the Olde World Reserve as a mild smoke.

Similar here - bought a fake Cuban Cohiba from an older Cuban gentleman while sitting on the porch of a favorite bar down here. I knew it was fake when I bought it but my curiosity got the better of me. Truly disgusting.
