  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

What other sticks can you add to the list of - "The Unsmokables?"

A Flor de Filipinas chocolate-infused cigarillo that a cousin bought for me while I was in the Philippines last year as well as some other non-infused local brand––assuming, of course, that they'd ever make CI's inventory. Both tasted like burnt newspapers....

yeah... connecticuts seem to have a bit of a chemical flavor going on. sometimes it's overstated (like this Fonseca i had a little while ago), and sometimes it's subtle.

anyway... an unsmokeable for me is the Gloria Cubana Maduro. :barf:

Graycliff G2 cheapies CI is throwing in with alot of there sampler deals. I'm fairly certain "dish soap" is not a flavor profile that's going to catch on. At least not with me.

There have not been that many cigars that I've had which I thought tasted BAD. Not good, sure, not much flavor, definitely. But only a few that were really BAD--and got pitched.

Oliveros Classic ... just horrible.

Also, I thought the La Aurora Preferidos Equador (the small perfecto) that I had was just disgusting--pitched it half-way through.

There have been a couple other cigars that I thought tasted bad, but upon trying it again thought it was decent or even good, so I chalk that up to a "bad stick." There have been close to a dozen of those at least.

Flor De Oliva .... I can't smoke um.
yeah people will often tell me the maduros aren't bad but man they suck. Yuck. Also people will often say the benchmades are good too but i tried one and it was horrible. It turned into a mushy mess after like 10 puffs.

I was sitting at Blue Smoke watching a Rays game when we got into this discussion, as several of the guys swear by the Flor de Oliva's. So I bought a churchill and sat down to enjoy it. That lasted about 60 seconds and I spent another 20 minutes hoping I was wrong.

I finally trashed it and grabbed a DCM #4 to wash the taste out of my mouth
