What should my first box be?

I'm looking for any suggestions for my first box purchase. Thanks to input from a few brothers I've selected the vendor I plan to use. I've also managed to shorten my list from the 14 choices I started with to a more reasonable 4. Right now I can only afford 1 relatively inexpensive box so without futher ado...let me know what you think is a good buy.

FYI...I tend to smoke medium to full bodied NC tending towards the JdN Antano, Bolivar Fuerte, etc. However, I've had a few more "mild" habanos and found the flavors very good.

Hmmm, I've never smoked any of those but I have always eye balling the Partagas Mille Fleurs.

However the Majestics are two years old and then some. Go for those.

The Partagas Mille Fleurs would be my choice, I haven't read much good about the PC Especiales except in CA, and I hold little confidence in their ratings.

Definitely go with something with age on it...I made the mistake of going fresh on my first buy and would not do the same given the oppurtunity.

Thats a good suggestion cause you might wanna get something nice with age that is way tasty. Then buy a box of something else later to age yourself.

The biggest thing is they will be smokable now and also still smokable six months from now.

I would whole heartedly agree that you should buy something smokeable NOW! Minimum age of 2 years is a must. Vintage Machine mades can be had for well under $100 and I have seen as much as 15 years on them! I'm sure you can find a few years for almost no premium if you don't mind looking and checking some boxcode lists.

Try to save up a bit more, and get some Boli PC's; you won't regret it...Remember,this is your first box and all, and over the years the will be countless threads "What was your first box..?" Be prepared.

As a still faiirly "newb" that's recently purchased my first box I would agree with "buy something smokeable now" theory. You won't go wrong with that!

I would stick with the aged suggestion as I also have not tried any of your choices.

I personally think you should pay up a little and go for the Monte #5 or the Boli PC. Can't go wrong with these.

None of the above. I'd find a box of Partagas Shorts with a couple years if age...Very nice. :thumbsup:
