What temp do you keep you humidor?

I would like to know your ideas on the ideal temp to keep your humidor at and how important is it to keep it at that temp versus keeping it at the right humidity.

IME the biggest threat with temperature is when you get over 70. Then beetles can become an issue.

I keep my cabinet in the basement, it's finished, and it is right around 65 degrees all the time.

I have read that lower temperatures are better for ageing long term (i.e.20 years) because it slows the process of ageing and creates a more thorough fermentation.

I try to keep it around 65. Right now its in the basement, which luckily stays cool during the summer.

Mine stays around 60 or so in the summer (wine coolerdor)...the desktop hovers around 70 or so all the time...

In the winter around 58-62 and the summer 62-65. I really have no control over it.

Wine cooler, right now between 62-63 degrees. Temps under 70, IMO, are the first consideration because of beetles. After that I focus on Humidity. Obviously both are very important and neither can get out of hand, but living in FL I had to focus on the temp first.

Summer time always freeks me out in Phoexin because of the heat. As soon as it reaches 70+, I get worried. That's when the beetles come out. This summer had and ENTIRE FUCKIN BOX of 97 Partagas Lusi's get devoured!!!!

What AZsteelman said= Mesa, az = wine coolerdor 60-65 deg. Ohpus-No worries If you have only a couple 5-10 boxes you can store them in my coolerlor but somtimes I'm VERY forgetful so the beetles won't get them but I might (will):smokingbo

Cigars are perfect this way !
