It's better than the rubber bits. It's not as thick and it's more comfortable to clench without messing up the stem.

Thank you. I really like the way Pete's pipes smoke. He's the president of Briar Works down in Columbia Tennessee. He was taught by some really good carvers.

The Briar Works production pipes are ok. Personally, I'd rather go with a Radice or Castello.
