  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

    Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Don't want to talk out of turn seeing it wasn't asked to me. But I have a problem with talking to much LOL. Anyway I like to collect Dr Grabow and in my understanding from when I started to collect them. The Colored spade started around the time Dr. Grabow moved to Sparta. Also around that time DR. Grabow had acquired Duke Of Dundee line. Some of the Dr. Pipes are even missing spades as new and some were colored. Think it was like mid or late 80 to 90's that it was white spade on. I only have 1 blue spade at this time and it does say Imported. Also if it was because of Duke Of Dundee a pipe I passed on to someone that wanted it more then me 6 years ago. One pipe I wish now I hadn't passed on. iT was from late 30's early 40's and was one different pipe for sure. Had a never clog filter: and a (draft hole like my Ropp)..

Well I Opened the Tin of Black Woods Flake, At first I was going to smoke it in my Dr. Grabow Starfire but thought na We will bring out the old Westbrook. Nice pipe with screw in stinger. Funny thing is this tobacco also had a first open tin smell of Ketchup. Nice tasting tobacco though..

Thanks for the Grabow education. I had no idea what the significance of the blue spade was. My pipe was just something I picked up on the bay.
