Been trying some of the Ashton VSGs recently so picked up two the other day, what I believe to be the Illusions. But measured they are only 6" or possibly 6 1/8th". From what I can tell these are supposed to be 6 1/2". WTF? I figured I must have a different vitola but the only 6" one is a 56RG. Possibly the 5 3/4" Corona Gorda?

here are the sizes from the Ashton website

Wizard - 6 x 56
Enchantment - 4.375 x 60
Tres Mystique - 4.375 x 44
Belicoso No. 1 - 5 1/4 x 52
Corona Gorda - 5 3/4 x 46
Illusion - 6 1/2 x 44
Robusto - 5 1/2 x 50
Sorcerer - 7 x 49
Torpedo - 6 1/2 x 55
Spellbound - 7 1/2 x 54

Here is the stick

What am I missing here?

That is an illusion. You are right that it is short, but it is the only vitola with that lengh at that gauge.

Also, it is a new band. The ridges around the top crown used to not be there, it used to be rounded. (hint: Buy rounded tops if you can find them still, they are old).

I cannot explain why it is not 6.5 though. They are pretty consistant and from the picture it "looks" authentic.

Probably not a lot yet.

I still see them from time to time on shelves. Though cigars are not so much like wine that merchants track market prices on age and then change them. That will be an interesting day.
