  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Where to eat in Philly?

The wife & I are taking off early from work to drive down to Philly...

Gotta stop at Holts & pick something nice up for the evening... Gonna hit a couple of shops, walk around South St. & go to a Nine Inch Nails concert in the evening.... Oh yeah.

I wanted to know if anyone has any recomendations for some good eats in Philly?

Thia, good vegetarian, Italian, cafe, etc...? (The wife is vegetarian.)

I wanna try & keep it <$30 ea.

:driving: :widemouth:lady: :guitar: :smokingbo

Hilarious - Maybe next time I want gut-rot & can take a nap right after...
LOL... The best cheese-steak sandwiches are NOT in Philly.
Nothin says romance like sauce stains down the front of your shirt...

Pat's and Geno's are OK for Cheesesteaks, but Tony Luke's is better.

If you going to Holt's, walk a couple of blocks away (like 2) and you'll find a good mexican restaurant called El Vez. http://www.elvezrestaurant.com/ It is on 121 South 13th Street. Tequila's are excellent!

Have fun!

Where's Tonu Luke's? Whenever I go visit my parents in Wilmington, I stop up at Pat's.

Thanks guys!

I just got back from a great day trip - got to holt & picked up a few good sticks: couple of Cab Maduros, and a couple of Tat Vorocu East Coasts!

I was drooling on the counter when I saw some LG SB2's & some Davidoff LE 07s & 08s - but alas - it was too rich for my blood today.

I went to Ralphs - thanks Surfish1961!
It was pretty good & their history is very interesting - 2nd oldest Italian resturaunt in America! Cool!

Nine Inch Nails were incredible as usual - not the greatest seats, but as energetic & entertaining as ever!

Thanks to all!

Cantina Los Caballitos. 1651 E Passyunk.

Excellent Mexican food, plenty of vegetarian/vegan options, and flights of tequila. Good time, guaranteed! :smokingme

You're welcome. Glad your trip was great. Not a big fan of NIN but believe me, Ralph's has never dissapointed.
