  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Once you open a tin does it have a shelf life? Is that why I see so many mason jars? Or are they just more rugged and seal better from outside aromatics?
Tobacco can dry out when it's not in a sealed container. I usually just stick with the tins, but the tobacco does get too dry sometimes and needs to be rehydrated. Bulk tobaccos especially tend to be placed in jars for aging.

In short, it's just safer to store your tobacco in a mason jar.
