Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.
Anything I need to know about this area? Did they treat you o.k.? Boobies?
I just saw the Adult only resort you booked and figured there would be a boobie pool.Anything I need to know about this area? Did they treat you o.k.? Boobies?
Do not miss the ruins. Spectacular. Xel-ha is great for snorkling.I just saw the Adult only resort you booked and figured there would be a boobie pool.
As far as what to do. The Mayan Ruins of Tulum and Chichen Itza are amazing. Chichen Itza is the big one, you see in all the pictures, but Tulum is right on the ocean and very picturesque. Also for a cool day trip you can try Xel-ha or Xcaret, just google those. Everyone speak English and are very freindly. The water is totally safe on the Yucatan pennensula, all filtere though lime stone and moder sewage and water plants. I figure you booked there to avoid the Kid Crush In Cancun. The nightlife in Downtown Cancun is fun, but is about 60 miles from you.
 the ball court at Chichen Itza was the chery on top for me. I remember, in 4th grade, reading a fact based short story about the ball game they played back then and it had pictures of the court in the book. Standing there was sureal. Also, climbing the pyramid and seeing the altar where human sacrafices were done was kind of cool. There are a couple much larger Pyramids, but none as in good a shape as Chchen itza.Do not miss the ruins. Spectacular. Xel-ha is great for snorkling.
Dude the ball court was awesome and looked hard as hell to actually play! Oh and I just about had to crawl up the pyramid because the steps are so tiny! Seriously, it's a must see :thumbsup: the ball court at Chichen Itza was the chery on top for me. did you do the acoustics experiment on the ball court? You can stand at on end and clap, and you can hear the echo off the other end about 100+ yard away. If it's not too crowded, you can have a conversation with someone on the other end as long as you face the wall on your side.Dude the ball court was awesome and looked hard as hell to actually play! yeah!!! a big one at Chichen Itza, very cool.Check out the cenotes while there. Deep holes with fresh water and very clear. They are real cool.
wow that is cool, cave diving scares me.There were a few you can go in and swim or go scuba diving in. The one I was at had passages you could swim to a couple different room like things. It had a stair case that allowed access. Big fun!
you can do that at Xel-ha too, way coolCave tubing was cool, but that was in Belize.
