Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.
I believe Mr Strappe just edged out Richard Simmons for :1st:The leading ball carrier of all times has the initials, JS....can anybody guess? I'm 55 years old and I believe this will never change.
Jacques Strappe...sorry guys...
Good point there on Sayers!! Shame about his knee injuries he was poetry in motion. Btw also on Jim Brown football wasn't even his bast sport. He was an even better at Lacrosse!!This one was a trip down memory lane.
As someone who saw Jim Brown play, I truly believe he has had no equal. He was the most punishing running back I ever saw. I would give honorable mention to Jim Taylor, as a punishing runner. Brown would have had the most amazing statistical career if he has stayed in pro ball. Think of it, everything he did was in NINE seasons. . .
I saw Sayers play and Csonka; both were exceptional. Sayers career was cut short by knee injuries. Payton was amazing and much like Brown; he was never afraid to hit. Simpson rates right up there. I saw him play at USC. I think that Jackson and Campbell might be a tier below, but only because of shortened careers.
With a team that, for many years, had few weapons at their disposal. Essentially, Walter left, Walter right, Walter up the middle.I voted for Payton. just an overall great back.
yea, he's on fire as of lateIf LT keeps any fragment of the pace he is on right now, i think he will be hard to argue with....
