BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.
Why I joined BOTL!

When I got a my first humi this christmas I set out to find as much information as I could on how to properly maintain it. I looked at many websites, and forums, but this is the only one I joined. Mainly because it had the best information, and I felt like I could ask noob questions without being mercilessly ridiculed. So even if it's gone downhill somewhat like you claim, it is still far more welcoming than the other boards I lurked at before joining here.

Free booze?

well said bill, I joined when I was 17 almost 18, cigars always intrigued me and coming from a cuban background I have been around them since birth. I came here after noticing how this board was unparalleled in kindness and brotherly support not to mention the knowledge. the feeling of acceptance is what made me stay, even as a new guy People treated me with respect and that is very rare.
I remember getting a pm from a certain member welcoming me and telling me how different this board is and that we respect each other and each others opinions, and if you don't like something take it to a PM don't trash a thread, basically telling me that this is a great rare place and to enjoy it and treat it rite or it will go away. I really like that and respected it, and set the standard of the board and the way to act on this board and i think we have lost that a little along the way.

Good writeup, my friend. This board is probably the friendliest board I've been on. I have already met many kind and knowledgeable members on my limited stay so far. It's nice to come to a board this this from my usual Automotive Off-Topic forum (Although there is some fun in that).
I havent even been here long to know any better, but the conversation, sharing, and generosity of those so far will keep me here for a long time. I have way to much daily drama and have really enjoyed a place to listen, learn, laugh and sometimes even give my .02. Thanks to those of you that started it and have made it what it is.

I joined here about 6 months ago but didn't frequent much because I wasn't use to the way the boards are layed out. I was on other boards like others have stated and I got tired of all the BS others bring to some of them. A lot of good guys are on here and a lot of knowledge is available through very generous brothers here. I've become accustomed to this board now and hopefully haven't rubbed anyone the wrong way yet and now I don't even use the other boards. Haven't checked them in weeks/months because I just come straight here now. This is just a much better place to be overall!

They don't call him Angry Bill for nothing! I agree, thats one of my main reasons for joining the brotherhood. I didn't know too much about smoking, I was relatively new so I asked question after question after question..lol...and yall answered question after........you get my point without hesitation, judging or prejudice. I haven't met anyone personally yet, and may who knows may never but you damn sure know how to make it feel like I have! Thanks Guys!

Been smoking and lurking for a long while but decided to jump in to learn more and share the little knowledge I have with those who may be interested. But the easy camaraderie and decent respect for different points of view are what will keep me here to stay.
