Will Whynter shelves fit a newair?

So, I've got a whynter cigar cooler that is on the fritz. Looking to get a newair 280 to replace it with. The question is, will the shelves i have fit? Not really a lot of info on the interweb about it. Anybody know for sure? If not, I'll spring for the new air cigar cooler, and put this one in the closet for box storage.

If anyone has a newair 280E, and have had shelves made, would be willing to grab a thickness measurement on your shelves, that would answer the question as well.
As a side note, are the whynter and newair made in the same factory? They look identical online.
