I spent alot of time and thought in how to reg. RH after alot of failures, I went with the easy solution and it works like a charm temp and RH constant. Air tight containers, was the easiest and most accurate solution to my problem. Now my wine cooler has a purpose in life, and my smokes are in a perfect place. Give this a try brothers.

What you have is not a bad plan, but make sure that some of the things that aging helps get rid of like Amonia have a way to escape. Since you can age in sealed boxes, it just slows down the process, I'd guess this would slow it even further. If you are not doing long term storage or are in there once in a while, probably no big deal at all.

I've come to the realization that I'm going to need to convert something like this, going to have to try and find deals here in Canada.

Alternatively I just found this, its made by Avanti and while it isn't a wine fridge it IS 2.5 cubic feet and thermoelectric. It also happens to be cheaper than the 28 bottle wine fridge (when I last checked).

I'm a huge fan of my Edgestar 28 bottle Thermo-Electric. All my research says that is the way to go.
