So here is the saga of my Easter day smoke.
Somewhere in late 2006 Benzopyrene sent me a Fuente BTL in a bomb that made my head spin. THANK YOU SIR. This was the first BTL I had seen, as I was still just a noob when it came to good cigars. I am assuming he bought it in TX where he lives. About a year later, I was forced to sell a few smokes due to brutal financial issues. I had the unfortunate task of selling a couple cigars that were given as gifts. This was the hardest part of the whole thing for me. I hated the idea of profiting on a gift. I would have never sold a gift, just because I didnt want it, but given it was keep the cigars or pay rent, I sold em. Anyhow Adam, bought this cigar along with some others, and I sent them to Turkey where he was living at the time. I was sad to see this little barber pole go, but thank you for supporting me Adam. So as life goes on I was able to procure another BTL for the collection. I am part collector and part smoker, so when I only have one of a cigar I like to keep it until I have another to keep. So maybe a year or so later Adam moves back to the states, and I get a surprise bomb from him. THANK YOU SIR Included was a BTL. I had to ask if it was the same cigar and he said it was in fact the original BTL that Benzo had sent me so many months earlier. Thanks Again Luke So the 2 of these smokes have been sitting for a few months now, and then VirginIslander sent me one in a bomb last week..THANK YOU SIR .So since I have been wanting to smoke this cigar ever since Benzos bomb in 07, and now I had 3, I decided I would light it up on Easter afternoon. I dug through the humi and found the one I had marked to be special.
A beautiful cut with my Xikar (Palio in thr golf bag) and a nice quick toast with my Vector Thundra. I was off and smoking. A slight burn issue right at the foot, but once it got down to the full ring gauge the burn was good to go. This was really good cigar. Lots of smoke, good flavors, nice draw once I got the burn right. I did not really take notes for a review, but I enjoyed this cigar immensely. I can say the story behind this smoke made the experience that much better.
I would again like to thank Benzo for the gift way back when I was still a greenhorn, Adam for buying, saving, moving and sending it back to me, The other brother, who gave me the 2nd one, sorry I dont remember who it was. And lastly Thanks to Virgin Islander for the 3rd one that pushed me over the edge to smoke my first BTL The World Traveled BTL.

Just another testament to the brotherhood I have found here.
Thank you all.
