FireDoc and I decided to check out Lambeau Field for the last game of the preseason, Packers versus Chiefs.

Off course we had to find a way to incorporate our passion for cigars… we decided to leave early on Thursday 9/1 and hit a bunch of B&Ms along the way, hoping that we could coordinate our schedule with some others Brothers. Here’s who we met along the way:
• Poorcigarlover
• Mwlabel
• Volusianator
• gbpacker66

The purpose of this thread is to tell you about our trip: a) hopefully you find it entertaining or b) at the very least, learn about some cigar shops in the WI area. It's a quasi HERF, cigar shop, and travel post. I will make apologizes upfront if you feel I posted this within the wrong board category. I also want to point out that I have been really busy with the newbie scavenger hunt organized by Danthebugman and this is the first chance that I had to edit and post this thread... again, I apologize for the delay for those that were interested in checking this out prior to the posting.

Here’s our day 1map – total miles = 320.

Stop B: Jacks Tobacco, Brookfield – http://www.jackstobaccowi.com.

We immediately noticed some barren shelves and were told that the shop is changing ownership. Were there any gems? Well, look what we saw in the below humidor image… we were a little perplexed… were those OR Tatuaje Jar Blacks in a makeshift box?

But where’s the jar?…. found one on a retail shelf. I spotted it and asked “is that for sale” and then followed it with a question “how m…”when before I could finish FireDoc (Matt) jumped in and said “I’ll buy it!” The Tobacconist was nice enough to pose with the jar. And we scooped up the rest of those Tatuaje Blacks, about 18 of them.

Nice! And if you’re wondering I ended up with the jar since I saw it first… :headroll:

Stop C: Lake Country Cigars, Delafield– http://lccigars.com/.

You can barely see it in the photo but the “AN” in the store next to the cigar shop is a tanning place. Needless to say there was some eye candy walking in and out of that place. The photo on the right is Matt (FireDoc) probably looking for another Tat jar…. he didn't find one.:sadcry:Amazingly, the store was preparing for their Tatuaje event, but since we had to get to a football game we didn’t wait long enough for Pete to show up.

The store had a nice selection and BEER!!! We’re in Wisconsin so FireDoc and I picked out a Spotted Cow Ale by New Glarus Brewing. More information on that beer can be found at http://www.newglarusbrewing.com/.

We then met with a few brothers and had a beer and a smoke:

Unfortunately, we couldn’t stay that long and headed to Lambeau Field.

Stop D: Lambeau Field, Greenfield– http://www.packers.com/lambeau-field/index.html.

It was a preseason game against the Chiefs. We stayed until the 2nd & 3rd stringers came into the game which was just after half time. We still wanted to hit one more cigar shop before the night ended!

Stop E: Titletown Tobacco, Greenfield, http://www.titletowntobacco.com.

So, while at LCC we heard that this shop was one of the few in Wisconsin that carried Viaje. We had to check it out. Unfortunately, none of the other photos turned out.

We ended up hanging out with one the shop owners, Aaron Lindstrom and bombed him some sticks. He reciprocated. We didn’t end up leaving until around midnight to head back to the hotel. It was a good time telling stories, enjoying a few cigars, and having some nice drinks.

Here’s our day 2map – total miles = 331.

FireDoc and I woke up to a major that tore through the city of Appleton. Below are pictures of the storm in the morning and its aftermath:

Stop A: Pages and Pipes, Appleton – http://www.pagesandpipes.com/.

Our first attempt to visit a cigar shop was unsuccessful. There was no power in the town of Appleton, WI due to the storm and all businesses appeared to be closed. That was too bad because right across street there was Lombardi's Steakhouse... I could have used a great lunch.

Well, we decided to drive to the nearest town south to get something to eat and possibly find some more B&Ms.

Stop B: Kilted Tilt, Oshkosh – http://oshkosh.tiltedkilt.com/

We didn't find a cigar shop but a nice watering hole to grab a drink. For some reason, I forgot to take photos while we were enjoying our drinks. We then decided to leave to get to the Tatuaje event in Appleton, hoping that the power would return.

Stop C: Appleton Souvenir & Cigar Co, Appleton – www.appletoncigar.com/

Great store front and Cops telling the shop management that all businesses are to be shut down due to a city ordinance because of the storm. The party was changed to a private event within the residential area above the store.

Didn't take any good crowd photos, but here are some pictures of Pete on the roof deck and inside of the private residence that we had the party (notice the candles):

FireDoc told Pete about our Tat Black OR jar find. He couldn't believe it, so we offered him a cigar and he confirmed that it was an amazing find. He really enjoyed the smoke.

Great time guys! I didn't include any pictures of the shop since it was technically closed... but it's a nice one with a great selection. I was also extremely impressed with the improvisation skills of the owner/management.

Unfortunately, we had to head home. It was getting late, but we were hopeful that we could gain some time and go to one more cigar shop in the Milwaukee area. Thank you to gbpacker66 for making a great recommendation.

Stop D: Havana Lounge and Cigar, Milwaukee – http://www.havanaloungeandcigar.com/

FireDoc and I found some choice cigars. FireDoc found a Connecticut JG LE, and I got a few aged 601s. We both also grabbed a Spotted Cow Ale and watched the second half of a Lingerie Football League game.

This stop was a great night cap to a long trip. But, we still needed to get home... in all, we drove 651 miles, been to 5 B&Ms, met some brothers, found some great cigars, and had some great seats at a Packers Preseason game.

Hopefully in the future Matt and I can find more brothers to join us on our next road trip.

Great trip, crazy schedule! Not sure I could've made myself to leave after halftime though...

I'm happy for you about finding the Tat Blacks, but got damn... I can't believe the luck of so many BOTLs! There's nothing like that luck around my area... only a few shops and they are always picked through. Oh well, I can live vicariously through you guys! LOL
