Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I'm sure somthing will work out we just thought this one was going to. We got them to refund the non refundable deposit though so that's $500 not in the hole anyway.

Hey BGC, keep trying!

I haven't posted in a while mainly because we've been under the gun ourselves. It took us over a year to work out a refi deal and the benefit, our payment goes up $200/month! No kidding! We got reamed by our last broker, I'm talking 2 loans in order to avoid paying PMI, 1 was a 5 year ARM at 8.5%, the other was an intrest only. My wife and I bought this place in our early 20's (about 5 years ago) so we bought during the boom and have very, very little equity and had pre-payment penalties, and every other road-block you can possibly imagine. Anyway, I just try to look on the bright side, now we can start paying down the pricipal (assuming we can swing the new payment!)

Anyway, the moral of this story is that you're not alone so keep trying. Seriously don't give up!
