  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

    Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Has anyone ever reached out to Xikar? I had an issue on Monday and emailed the info@ email address. With such a good reputation i would have expected a response by now. Any insight anyone can offer would be great.

If you're having a warranty issue, I'd suggest bringing it to a Xikar retailer near you. They will most likely simply give you a brand new xxx, and take your old one back, to send into Xikar.

If you're just looking to actually get in touch with them, I can't help, never tried.

I tried once about 6 months or so ago and had the same experience. Someone did eventually get back to me via email but it took about 3-4 days I believe and they apologized and offered to help

Ultimately I did what @OldSkoolTarHeel mentioned above and took it to a retailer, they were able to handle the warranty stuff for me and gave me a replacement within a day (they didn't have the exact same lighter on hand to give me). Saved me some shipping costs this way

Retailer is so much easier - just get a brand new one each time on the spot. I did mail/send one in recently only because it was so old, retailers no longer carry it and got an equivalent model back after a few weeks

I've emailed them about an issue and they got back to me the next day and took care of it. It was something a retailer couldn't take care of at the time.

I've also gone to the retailer which is the easiest way if they have the same product.
