Did you know that there are 4 (so-called "big four") multi-national roasting companies people responsible for that stuff in the supermarket?

Kraft, P&G, Sara Lee and Nestle

Begin to take a look at that cup on your desk with a mindful attitude.

For those of you who do not home roast, when you plink down your hard earned money to buy your roasted coffee, check these companies out:

Intelligentsia
Doma
Stumptown
Counterculture Coffee
Taylor Maid Farms
Oren's Daily Roast

You home roasters have an awesome list of folks you buy your green from:

Coffee Bean Corral
Sweet Marias
Coffee Co-op
Cates Green Coffee

Be well, savor your cup. Hopefully with some great company. And a fine puro.

Norman, we have an in house roaster that sells freshly roasted coffee.

Can you put him on your list to buy from...at least here on BOTL?

I noticed he didn't include any home roasters, including himself, just sites that sell green beans.

I kinda like Blackdog Coffee Company as a roaster. First of all its great coffee and second, he is a valued BOTL sponsor. Good stuff.

Guy's, Norman's cool. He didn't list himself there either and was highlighting some of the leaders in the specialty coffee industry.
Like these cigar boards, roaster's are kind of a brotherhood all their own. Even though technically we're all competition we have a common bond and share information with each other on discussion forums like The Roaster's Guild.
I appreciate your support but Norman meant no harm here. It's all good!
