Founders Brewing - Backwoods Bastard... Wow! A tad sweet but the malt & a bourbon flavors shine through beautifully!

Truth be told, I knew it could hold up to time better than some beers I had on deck. It is a gem though!

Brasserie Dieu Du Ciel - Péché Mortel... Wow... So much coffee, dark chocolate & roasted malts! This is bordering on the top imperial coffee stout I've ever had

Glad there is some love for Canadian beer here. Fantastic beer and good value

Founders Brewing - Imperial Stout... What other imperial stouts are judged by.

I am having one of my saisons for late last year. The beer is developing into a great showing that I may enter into a competItion. This beer has a cousin where I brewed the same recipe but instead of rye I used spelt. I think I like the hop presence more in the spelt. The rye version has a pleasant hint of banana and pineapple esters.
