I've never shot a deer before, however, this year will be different. I'm nailing this one...ooops, added a smallmouth pic, don't know how to edit that. Anyhow, the buck has been stealing my tomatoes, all the while, I have been feeding him apples and corn :).

I'm going pig hunting in January down in Florida. Can't. Wait.
Hopefully some day I can do something like this:

I don't know how to hunt, my father never taught me anything. That is one thing that I wish I knew how to do. I could be taught. It's just that I don't have a clue where to get started. Good luck, have a successful hunt.
I am the same way bro, I really wish my father had taught me as well. I don't really have any friends that hunt either.

I don't hunt Indiana or Illinois.. But if either of you ever decide you want to trek to TN and give hunting a try... All kidding aside, let me know... I'm always happy to introduce people and share the little bit of knowledge I have...

I've got spare rifles and assorted other gear... All you need to bring is yourself and some warm clothes...

I don't get out nearly as much as I used to... But I typically do at least one boar, one deer, one elk, and a couple of small game (I enjoy both squirrel and rabbit) hunts a year.... Also like both dove and quail hunting.. Either of you is welcome to come along for the ride...

To ya'll that haven't hunted and are interested, the first step would be to contact your local Dept. of wildlife, whatever they are called in your respective states, and inquire about hunter education courses. Once you get that done get a decent rifle, I prefer a .243 or .270 for anything smaller than an elk as far as big game go or a 30-06 will do it all. An inexpensive shotgun, preferable pump or semi-auto if you want to bird hunt. Then spend some time at the range getting used to your gun/s. If anyone wants to come to colorado and shoot prairie dogs this summer we have thousands and i'm willing to take anyone that is interested. We can shoot clay pigeons at the farm as well. The best season if anyone is interested in big game where I live (which is the high plains desert) in eastern colorado is antelope as there is an abundance and even if you don't draw a license there are usually tons of leftovers. As mdwest stated anyone is welcome here, we have plenty of weapons, hunting rifles, assault rifles, ww2 rifles, shotguns, pistols, and even a .50 cal. so even if it's just for shooting, herfin, and havin a good time this summer let me know! For pronghorn next year the early season is the first part of Oct. and Late season is the first part of Dec. Somethin to think about!

Thank you for the very generous offer and I would love to take you up on it, I just can't spare the time at the moment. If it's alright with with you can we put this on hold till a time more convenient for both of us. Once again thank you for the offer.

I have been looking at other places to hunt. CO has definitely been on the list. Big game is just awful in CA but at least the waterfowl hunting and fishing is great.
