I don't mind the bigger RG smokes, but I don't go out of my way to buy them. MUWAT, Nub, FFF are bout the only big ones I smoke and even the MUWAT I have to smoke in two sittings. That big RG starts to become uncomfortable after awhile and not being a porn star I don't think I would want to stick a 70+ RG in my mouth. I prefer the robusto but find myself gravitating toward coronas more and more often.

Like most others here, they're just not for me. I just don't have the time to sit around and smoke a 6x60, and when I do I usually get bored with it. I've been gifted some bigger RG sticks but I usually have to wait until I know I'm going to be sitting around for hours doing nothing. I try to keep my purchases robusto size an under.

From a consumer standpoint it's just not for me. No thanks, I don't need that anywhere in or around my mouth. That being said, from a retail standpoint, I see a pretty loyal base of customers just looking for the best value on a large, long-smoking cigar. They wanna sit around and socialize for 3+ hours without spending the money for say, three or four coronas. The answer? 7x70s... Apparently

I've only had a couple and I don't care for the big RGs at all. Feels uncomfortable in my mouth. Plus it looks like I'm sucking on a fat ol dong which isn't a particularly attractive look to me. IMO the last time there was a need for a cigar with a large ring gauge was back during the Clinton administration in the oral office.

i don't need to compensate for anything... my truck isn't that big, i can hold my wife's purse from time to time, and i don't need a giant, phallic hunk of burning vegetation in my mouth either...
that is some funny shit right there!!
Thanks for noticing...

Just waiting for my Pop to come out of surgery, so I'm trying to keep it upbeat. ;)

Ok, here is my (Far from) expert review. First of all, the cigar itself wasn't that bad. Nice medium body and good flavor.

However, it did feel awkward smoking it, and quite frankly, got bored with it about halfway through. I think the problem is that with so much filler, you hardly even taste the binder and wrapper, so that I wasn't crazy about.

It was interesting to try and see what it was like, and I think they will have a place in the market, especially with younger/novice smokers, but it's probably not something I would search to find again.

Well, I guess I will open my big mouth... (No pun intended unless you laughed) but I do like the bigger cigars. I do not like to go below a 50 ring and enjoy my 60 ring that I keep on hand. I usually smoke a 54, 56 ring but on the occasion that I am sitting around with friends and know that time will allow, I grab a bigger ring smoke. But that's just me.....

Its more personal preference. I've smoke a few 60's and really wasn't blown away by them. Unless its a torpedo I usually go for a smaller ring cigar most under 50.

I've had the asylum 70 RG it was a chore. I like bigger RG because I have huge hands but its still got to be a nice smoke I won't buy just because its a bigger gauge. Just like I wouldn't skip a smaller one.

Good for the golf course or fishing. Typically don't have time for a long smoke tho.

Padron has made a 60 for awhile now.
Yeah 2011. I meant in there long long history I never thought Id see them come out with one. But they gotta do what the market wants I guess
Think he is referring to the Padron 7000, which has been on the market for quite some time.
I think the 7000 is probably the worst cigar Padron makes. Very washed out flavors. It's amazing how the large ring gauges are selling because I don't know anyone who smokes them and I smoke at 3 different lounges in 3 different cities on a fairly regular basis. I will say the "kids" do generally grab them because they look cool, but other than that us "old timers" are all smoking the 54's and under. Heck, I don't even like a 54. I'm a corona or lancero guy personally.

Not too sure about the horse-wang you stuck in your face, but your shirt gets my approval. Firestone Walker makes some tasty brews.
