Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.
No it really isn't. The goal of a pipe is completely different. The most flavor comes from your pipe when you are just barely kindling the tobacco. What you want is the least amount of heat and just the slightest bit of smoke. That is when the real flavors pop IMO. Try taking small natural puffs as you breathe. Try to use the natural vacuum of your breathe. Also I notice I have to smoke kinda fast to keep it going but it gets to hot as well. An I get a little tongue bite.i guess I expect I want the smoke output of a cigar, is that realistic?

Shoud have passed those cobs on to Newbie Pipe Sampler!I bough 5 pipes this week, 3 of them in the 30-40 range and two cobs. Needless to say I pitched the cobs. The other three seem to be so so. They have these little filters in them, is this common for all pipes? Pros? Cons?
