Mexican Cake ^^^^? it does not exactly sit on shelves. Sold out at brewery in less than 1 hour and locals that get limit 1-2 bottles per.

If Dave can get I give him props because it's not easy to source.

Andy, that is a concern with the 2013's. The one I received is a 2012 so no problems here.
Ah that's good! I love The Bruery, but it seems like I'm always reading about their beers being infected and for the price they charge for beer, that should not be the case.
Just curious how they are contaminated. Is the beer viscous or just foaming out of the bottle when opened? They have a tough job there trying to make clean ale fermented brews and soured beers in the same place. Then I would assume based on their size they only have one filler and I wonder about their ability to verify cleaning temps and so on the ensure they don't cross contaminate.

The White Chocolate I had was very sour and kind of tasted like bad apple juice. I had read that there were some problems with the 2013 White Chocolate, but unfortunately, this was after I had already traded for some. This is a quote from Patrick Rue on why this particular beer was infected....

"White Chocolate you may also recall this year did not taste as it did in the previous year when it was first released. Our initial testing showed the beer was a lower pH than the 2012 version, and continued testing showed it had remained at the same pH since being packaged, so we determined it was stable. Unfortunately, we have recently found that the pH has continued to drop, indicating further souring of this beer."
