Oliva V Melanio Maduro is a goooood smoke

Is it the Maddy or the regular? I thought the regular Melanio won?

Had one for the first time last week. Thought it was a pretty good smoke......but no where near cigar of the year, imo. But everyone has different tastes.

I've had most from thier top 10 list and have no objections. Preferences differ but considering my own, I'm pleased with their recognizing the Melanio.

you're missing out....I think it's a decent list. Only one's I don't have interest in are the Monte NC and the Rocky

Melanio is a great cigar. Impossible to pick a consensus 1 but Melanio is a very respectable choice IMO

I have enjoyed the Melanios that I have smoked and consider it a very good cigar, but if I was making a list it would not be #1. Congrats to Oliva, as I am sure they are very happy. I feel these Cigar of the Year lists are more something we can discuss than gospel. Always makes for a topic nearly everyone has an opinion on.

I am pretty sure the HR came out too late in the year to be ranked. I tried an HR last week. I thought it was a good cigar, but I don't think it's $20 good. I would've scored it a 91. If I am going to pay $20 for a cigar it better be as good as some of my other favorites that are in that price range.
