Picked this up today - it may or may not be my future carry.

Beretta Nano 9mm

Read a lot about this thing having a bad trigger, and the dang shop wouldn't take off the trigger lock to let me try... so I bought "trigger untested." When I got home I held my breath and expected the worst - Love the trigger! Nice smooth DA. If it smooths out even more and this thing proves reliable, I think I might really like this thing.

Pictures really make it look big - it fits in my jeans back pocket completely. Nice.

Well I took her out today.

Time for another good cleaning!

How does it shoot? Dude this thing shoots like a charm. Like a charm I tell you. I threw 300 rounds downrange and would have been glad to have thrown another 300. If you ever get one in your hands and like the feel - give it a shot. It handles great for a little gun. Moreover, after about 100 rounds of getting familiar, it took nothing to get 6 rounds out quickly and on target.

I was able to get some great groups too! I marveled really at the groups I was producing. For two reasons! The first because they were tight, the second because they were consistently low.

Using 147gr or 124gr didn't change the placement. Even at ten to 15 yards it was shooting low. I really have no idea why this is happening. I have never shot that low ever. It's weird and a little concerning.

When I started out, there were at least 4 or 5 failures to extract. I honestly think it was a mag issue. The springs in the mags were so tight it was almost impossible to load them fully. It was almost as though the new round was getting to the job before the spent round was able to extract. But I really don't know - not a smith. Either way - I am storing them loaded. We'll see if that helps - if it's even needed, as it didn't happen again after the first 100 rounds.

Overall, I am pretty pleased but I just don't know what to do about this shooting low.

I don't suppose you measured the groups or times? I'm curious how its numbers stack up against other micro autos.

No - I am generally not that invested. What's the radius of a baseball? The groups were about that size. I'll be glad to take pictures next week for you.

As for timing. I don't really have anyone who like shooting to go with. If I meet a dude at the range, I'll ask him to time me next time. Though I should say dude or dudette lol. There were a lot of women at the range today.

EDIT - I guess I could just shoot some video next round out lol! I'll do that.

I went to the range with my buddy last week or so, and I had forgotten that he had one. I had shot it last year, and I shot it again last week. I like it, although I need the mags with the extra grip on the bottom because it was uncomfortable to hold without it. My pinky was just free floating pretty much.

Yeah the pinky thing... You love it or hate it. I have been shooting a Glock 26 with a two finger grip for some time. Hence, I have become very comfortable with the two finger grip. I really couldn't care less if I have a three finger grip anymore. The added concealability I do care about though.

If a three fingered grip single stack in 9mm was a prerequisite, I would have bought the Walther PPS no questions asked lol. Now there is a great pistol :).

I wish I could conceal a double stack comfortably... HK anyone :).

Was at the local gun show today and was thinking about picking up a glock 42 for a bit more concealability sometimes (plus I think the wife would like it better than her carry gun). Anyone play around with the 42 at all?
I usually carry an XDS 9

Sure. What do you want to know about it? What does she carry now?
HK anyone :).
They make excellent hammers for working on my guns.

A little. Really liked it! Alot!

I prefer a heavier trigger pull on a carry gun though. Better yet, a double action/single action. That's why I had the Sig P232 for years, but you put the 42 in a nice holster, and Bob's your uncle.
