Only two that I can recall...
Tatt Whore was underwhelming. Im hoping they get better with some age on them.
Las Mares Rebeldes was a let down for me but I think I hype it up too much in my own head. I have not tried the other vitola yet and I hear that one is much better.
I hated the first Whore I had. After 3 months, they moved to my top of 2015 list. What a difference a day makes. I think they didn't let them sit long enough at the warehouse to let all the amonia gas sweat out.

The LC 2014 is now the La Imp so that may explain some things! I love the La Imperiosa, it had became a definite box purchase for me.

This year I was disappointed by the Padron Damaso. I like everything else I have smoked from Padron. My second let down was the El Gueguense. I saw many of you posting pics so I grabbed on from a local b&m and was not impressed. It required lots of touch ups and a relight or two. Next time I'm in Houston, I will grab another one or two just to make sure...

If you read the details on the wrapper used, it will explain the touch ups. I think it's posted on here somewhere.

Tat Jackal (meh), Las Mareas (just needs some time), every Caldwell (yuck), Davidoff Colorado claro
(boring), Island Jim (ok), Futuro (need to revisit) Laranja (stumped, unimpressed with first one months ago, had another a month ago, good but not what I was expecting)

Try it in a larger Vitola (Sobremesa). I was very disappointed in the Cervantes Fino but then had the American and it was excellent
That's a good point. I wasn't nearly as happy with the corona as I was with the robusto.

Agreed. The blender puts the tobacco together to get the flavor and transitions he's looking for but that doesn't mean that it won't get better with age. I think the whole cigars needing, or getting better, with some downtime can be related to wine or even food for that matter. It gives it time for the flavor to meld and allows the tobacco to mellow. A lot of good cigars, new releases or old, can taste like shit ROTT(either right after delivery or without proper acclimation) because they have been in transit and in various states of flux as far as temp and humidity are concerned.

Ok, thread derail complete. Now back to your regularly scheduled topic. :)
I think that there were more than a few people that enjoyed the hell out of the Tat TAA 15's. Me not being one of them. That said, I wouldn't put them down on a list of let downs because they are without a doubt going to be a fantastic smoke in (about 6 to 9 months time) the future. The TAA 14's were crazy good fresh, but these ones just didn't hold the same praise from me, but they were still a good cigar. We've all seen many new releases that were a bit muted like this one, that turned out to be magic after a bit of rest.
Also, per someone's point, these cigars aren't released with the intent of aging. But aging these and smoking one every few months is very low risk.

What El Oso did you smoke? I was underwhelmed by the Papa, but the Mama is pretty darn good, and I'm not typically a lancero guy...
