Too many good posts and responses for me to quote or reply to all. But I will say thank you to all you. It really helped hearing your perspectives. I do agree that sadly the court system seems to be anti father. It is not fair but then again...
I am glad I was able to give this thread a bump. Seems that a couple people are finding it or rediscovering it.
As has been said too many times but still never enough, this is a brotherhood of more than just cigars. You all are truly brothers and therefore I have no thoughts of leaving. Its almost been my first full year. Looking forward to many more.

Well brother we are absolutely happy to hear that and happy to have you.

My son is 7 months old the wife and I are happy(hopefully it stays that way) but I cannot imagine going through any of this. Having someone take my son from me and telling me when I can and cannot see him.

I suffer from serious AM issues and reading what all of you said you have gone through or are going through or know someone that is. I can feel my heart rate raising I am getting the shakes and that buzzing in my ears. So I leave you all with this, I give you all a world of credit for staying as calm as you are as you can see I would have exploded by now. Just know you will make it through the stormy rain and all will be fine when the skies calm.

Have yourselves an amazing New Years and to many more.
Peace, love, respect brothers.
Jonathan

I think this is a great thread... just want to let you know there is always an ear to chew my way. Send me a PM any time if anyone would like a good chat.
I've been there myself when I was on long rosters away from my family, so I at least understand a little about the issue.
A bit of Aussie humor and no judgement whatsoever can be a good medicine!

Dealt with a bad panic attack earlier today which sucked, couldn't calm myself down and had to pop .25 mg xanax to help - been dealing with heightened anxiety a lot more in the past month or so, had to cut my caffeine intake by a lot because I was taking in about 1300mg a day lol but each day just trying to be positive..if anyone else here deals with General Anxiety Disorder just stay strong, it's never dangerous, just uncomfortable and will never last

Good positive message brother! I do not deal with this myself but my wife has pretty severe social anxiety at times. Its no joke for sure.

Good to know you're okay brother! I deal with this as well (social anxiety too) and was covering it up with my drinking for a while. Now that I've put that problem to pasture, I'm learning new ways to manage.

Definitely no joke, it can debilitate you at times, luckily I'm pretty good at managing it but once in a while it'll get the best of me and it takes control unfortunately

Yeah I'm alright (not dying like I thought in the moment - lol have to laugh at it to help get over it) but it's always best to breathe slowly and just focus on that and typically it will go away quickly - what happens is that little "what if" voice comes in and makes you think that the worst is happening
