snow started last night here. had about 4 inches when i left for work at 5:00am. it had been snowing lightly on and off all day untill just before i left work at 4:30. wind is howling. precip switches between freezing rain and snow. we are supposed to get between 10 and 15 inches by tomarrow early morning. hopefully it will stop and the plows will be out before i have to go to work. if not, as long as i go slow ill get there. could only do 25 mph on the way home and that was on the main hwy. side roads are even nastier!! only about 15 mph on them. oh well..... its march. this shit cant last forever..... i hope!!

getting around in snowy weather is second nature to us northern boys. i always get a kick out of seeing the south getting nailed with snow and showing the people trying to drive in it on the news.... better than Americas Funniest Home Videos!!!!!

72 degrees here. I feel for you. My sister lived up there for a couple of years. It was hot in the summer and you know what the winter is like...

Try driving with them and it seems to loose all of its humor.
I hear that, people seem to think that because they have snow, they can go as fast or faster..........mmmmmmmm No brakes

It is BAD out there. The roads are still horrendous.

The drifting that is happening is making some of the roads impassable...we had to drive through a drift that was almost two feet deep. Luckily someone else had done the same thing and we had some tracks to follow but it was barely as wide as the car and on both sides the snow was two feet deep.

Because the snow was blowing so hard I couldn't see we were coming up on a drift and once I realized it maintaining our momentum was our only hope to avoid getting stuck.

It is BAD out there.

We are home now and staying.

Neither daycare was listed as closed and it was Anderson's picture day. We had no idea the roads were still fubarred because they didn't really mention it on the news channel we checked.

Been out trying to stay ahead of the thing, all I'm trying to do is clean the walk way and out back so the dog can get over the banks. The plow will be here in the morning so I'm waiting it out here. Snow has stoped for now , but wind is still blowing likea SOB. We ended up with about 2' but some places has 3 to 31/2 with the drifting in the driveway, the lil lady had to go to work so she took the 4 wheel drive and she was pushed snow all the way to the Hwy. So I'm cooking a big pot of Beans and Ham Hock anything else left over in the frig. Going to head to the garage here in a few and fire up a King B and watch the snow fly ...........We are staying safe & warm in Northern MN
