Indeed, smoke what ya like, like what you smoke! And CPT black seemed very forgiving on the learning curve, and readily availabe at most any cigar shop!

When I get a pouch of it now and again I leave it in my truck to dry out good for a couple weeks. Fresh I cant smoke it.
Haven't known too many active pipers that don't visit the 'old codger blends' occasionally. Some, that's all they smoke.
I love me some Prince Albert & Carter Hall.
Codgers (drug store blends) are a nice change of pace and aid with new pipe break-ins.

A good FM substitution that's also no longer blended.
I've understood that the old blend was produced by McClelland for Sutliff.

4 Noggins has the new blend in stock. I haven't tried it so I'm not sure how close it is to the old mixture.
