Has anyone ever had either of these? That Cask Strength looks promising.

Love the little 375ml bottles and how they retain their shapes. The prices though leave a lot to be desired though

The KC cask strength has been tempting me the last couple times to the store. Not sure I can hold out much longer though my wallet needs me to.

I've had the small batch rye and thought it was pretty decent. Oak heavy. Always hard to pass up a sale!
Thanks! I'll have to give it a try sometime soon. I admittedly wasn't a big fan of Bulliet Rye, it wasn't bad or anything, but nothing jumped out at me as exciting though. I'm always on the lookout for a good Rye, especially one that I don't have to dilute....looking at you Woodford lol

The proof looks exciting to me. I have a few others on my list though, so it will have to wait. I just bought two Scotch Whiskies that I will be trying side by side. One is Auchentoshan American Oak ($29.99) and the other is Glengoyne 12 Year, which came with a free engraved Glencairn ($55.99). Both are peatless and more of a floral whiskey from around the Lowlands of Scotland. Scotch is one whiskey I haven't been very lucky with, unlike Bourbon, Rye or Irish, which I've had nothing but luck and love for.

Sounds like you're not a big fan of peat. Understandable, seems like the only way I can truly enjoy a heavily peated whiskey is with a strong cigar. I think the combination kind of overloads my taste buds and calms both the smoke and peat tastes. I think when it comes down to a good all round "drinking with dinner" libation I prefer the lighter, fruitier, sweet scotches over bourbon.

Nail on the head. I must've had over 20 different Scotches, and I probably only liked one enough to actually buy a bottle of it, which coincidentally is the Auchentoshan American Oak. The Glengoyne is a blind buy, although heavily researched. Most peated scotches just come across to medicinal for me. Glengoyne air cures their barley, so no peat. I've only ever had bourbon with dinner, and that's during the rare occasion I go to JR Cigars Montecristo Lounge. Usually it's Booker's I end up choosing. However I never turn down a spirit offered to me at my cigar lounge, no matter what it is, which is the reason I've had so many different Scotch Whiskies.

It was just released today.
Guess I need to make my rounds!

After making a few phone calls seems like it takes a few weeks to make it down this way, if they are allocated. Guess next time I visit Kentucky I'll look at what's being released and when, plan the trip accordingly.

I've got the cask strength. Great stuff imo. Really want to try the double barreled rye that's been out a couple of months...
I've got one of those. Still unopened... good?
