Great video as always. You had quite a camo binder under that wrapper.
I must say I enjoyed the blues music. I vote for more blues.
Thanks. Yeah, those undergarments were stitched together from three scrappy-ass leaves. I've wanted to torch that thing young, but the humidity hasn't dropped below 80% since I rolled it. Still sitting at 85% right now. Reckon I'll torch this Super Partagas instead and see what happens.

From Seed To Smoke A Cigar's Odyssey Davidoff Cigar Factory & Farms How Cigars Are Made 1:37:37
In early 2019, Bespoke Unit Founder Paul Anthony and Editor-in-Chief Charles-Philippe were invited by Klaas Kelner to visit Davidoff in the Dominican Republic. Watch this feature-length documentary to discover how Tabadom makes Davidoff cigars and learn about the full process.

Usually I wouldn't invest 1 1/2 hours to watch yet another factory tour, but this one is worth the watch. There is a ton of detailed information that they share. They really delve into the details from growing to rolling. Nothing really surprising but what the hell else do we have to do during isolation. I don't know about your community but here in Ontario we are STAYING HOME. The populace seems to be taking this very seriously. I'm in week 3 of not leaving the house except two quick trips for groceries. The idiots that ignore physical distancing are few and far between around here.

I leave the house every day, to go out on the lawn to read and smoke. One time I even went half way down the front steps to the sidewalk, looking for the newspaper. Big adventure!

I am nowhere near so video-prolific as Bliss. I employ neither charming music nor production values. In three years, I only had a thousand-&-some subscribers. Nevertheless, my vid "How to roll your first cigar" garnered three hundred fifty thousand views and flattering remarks. This vid was tailor made for a specific audience, i.e. raw beginners, who find that it informs about things ignored in other how-to vids, such as how to mix your glue, how to dampen your wrapper, how dry or damp your leaf ought to be, what tools you can use that you already have round the house, and such not details never explained to me when I began.

Then came the Big Lockdown. In the last few days, views and comments have skyrocketted. Inferring from the comments, it turns out that YouTube must have some kinda software that translates vid sound tracks into words and then catalogues those words for searches. See, somewhere around two, two and a half minutes in, when discussing the size of gar a beginner ought to to aim at rolling, I mention the word "corona"... which, near as I can tell, must be what accounts for like twenty thousand more visitors in the last few days. It appears that YouTube recently recommends this vid to visitors when they search for "corona" in a very different sense.

Bliss & others, do you mention "corona" anywhere in your vids or in the titles of them? Have you likewise seen views skyrocket?

I noticed this trend because of the volume of comments which YouTube forwards to me hourly to moderate. Whereas previous comments tended to be topical, apt, and well-spoken, these new ones tend to be mindless vulgar inanities ending in the acronym "lol". It seems that loads of yoots want me to roll them a blunt. Lots of "what am I doing here?"s. Lot's of cancer loathing from the modern Puritans, aka SJWs.

Bliss & others, are you getting flooded with these as well?

Of course, I have always been plagued by one addled wannabe manicurist who is obsessed with fingernails. He appears and re-appears under literally hundreds of usernames over the years, always commenting "cut your fingernails" or similar. That's his mental aberration. Harmless enough.

Bliss & others, do you get the fingernail man as well?

Between the one & the other type, I am scrolling thru comments every day now removing idiocies featuring F words, "lol"s, "I'm only 11 why did YouTube send me here?", etc., all bereft of orthography & punctuation.

@webmost

The last time I talked much in a video, other than a few live rolls, was early 2019. After that I lost my voice as a side-effect of an anti-epileptic drug I was put on for my trigemenial neuralgia. That's why I'm more likely to feature music in my videos since then. I don't think I mentioned corona much, but probably did, back in my talking vids.

I quit the meds a while back and my voice has gradually come back, but it's still a strain to talk. Lately my videos feature neither speech nor music.

As for skyrocketing, there was some of that: my most popular video, a "how to" akin to yours, went from 300 views every 48 hours to 1200 every 48, a month or two ago. Pretty sharp peak, though: it's now down to around 600.

I just took it for more people at home wondering what the hell to do now. All my new videos have tons more viewers in the early going, and none of these have any talking, let alone that word. Vis:

So far I've gotten zero spam-type posts. Everything relates to cigar rolling.

On my how-to-roll-vid, the things I say are very straight forward descriptions of what I'm doing. Yours has at least a magnitude more spoken words, of a much greater variety, with a much more conversational structure: I'd guess the voice software analyzer stuff has a lot more to work with. Maybe all that plays into the algorithms, in addition to the presence of the word corona?

Hands being the featured body part of a cigar rolling video, I've always made sure mine were presentable for my videos. In general I don't grow them long, anyway. So this has never come up.
