Around my way, Columbia, MD, anything Lysol or cleaning supplies with disinfectant is very hard to find, almost impossible. Paper towels, toilet paper and dish soap the same. Even meat has been slim. Go to the store at first opening 5 days a week and maybe find one of the many items listed. It is crazy in my area. Luckily it is just me and my son. We don't need a lot. I don't know how the larger families are doing it around here.

used the last of my flour yesterday. Haven't seen any in the store since St. Patrick's day.
I checked this morning when I saw this post and again tonight just to see if it was a fluke (sometimes things pop in stock for minutes like TP), it's been available all day in Sams club free delivery to plus members

One of the things I noticed lately that was missing was soup, plain ole cans of inexpensive Cambell's soup. I was in our local big name store looking for a can of "Cream of" something as part of a supper recipe and the shelves were picked bare. Now I can somewhat understand, though not agree with, people panic buying TP and meats. I mean at least that's been in the news feeding the panic. But where has it been mentioned that there's a shortage of cheap soup?

This is one that I don't think is panic buying. I think this is the result of people cooking at home and actually buying ingredients. Half the guys I work with use their kitchen as a beer refrigerator and would go out to bars every night of the week for dinner. Now because the bars are shut down, they're having to cook a meal....and Campbells pops up high on the recipe list when searching "easy/cheap dinners".

Considering that's exactly what I was doing at the store you may be onto something there! (y):D

I was forced to consolidate some of my humidors yesterday, because I've been to three different supermarkets and can't find any damn distilled water for my humidifiers. With B&Ms being closed, I might have to break down and order some Boveda packs off of Amazon. I could put in an employee order on CI, but the warehouse is crazy backed up from massive demand and employee orders are on the backburner right now. WHY are people hoarding distilled water?? Rubbing alcohol too, I'm at a loss to imagine what people are going to do with a dozen bottles of 91% iso.

A follow-up to my prior post, I went to the grocery store yesterday after work. I was shocked. First time in 8 weeks, toilet paper was on the shelf, paper towels were on the shelf and there was a full isle of bottled water. It appears finally some deliveries were made or the hoarders hadn't made it to the store yet. Soup isle was pretty bare though.

Here in Idaho (My son works at a grocery store) Hand sanitizer is the only thing they can't get, they are getting about 75% of there orders including TP and paper towels.
of course this is a small independent store not a large chain store.
at its worst they were only receiving 40% of what they ordered with noTP or paper towels and ANY type of sanitizer or bottled water
