Check with your local bakeryI've been baking my own bread for 13 years, and used the last of my flour yesterday. Haven't seen any in the store since St. Patrick's day.
Might be a good idea. A lot of them are closed, though, but worth a try.Check with your local bakery
I checked this morning when I saw this post and again tonight just to see if it was a fluke (sometimes things pop in stock for minutes like TP), it's been available all day in Sams club free delivery to plus membersused the last of my flour yesterday. This is one that I don't think is panic buying. I think this is the result of people cooking at home and actually buying ingredients. Half the guys I work with use their kitchen as a beer refrigerator and would go out to bars every night of the week for dinner. Now because the bars are shut down, they're having to cook a meal....and Campbells pops up high on the recipe list when searching "easy/cheap dinners".One of the things I noticed lately that was missing was soup, plain ole cans of inexpensive Cambell's soup. I was in our local big name store looking for a can of "Cream of" something as part of a supper recipe and the shelves were picked bare. Now I can somewhat understand, though not agree with, people panic buying TP and meats. I mean at least that's been in the news feeding the panic. But where has it been mentioned that there's a shortage of cheap soup?
Considering that's exactly what I was doing at the store you may be onto something there! This is one that I don't think is panic buying. Make hand sanitizer.I'm at a loss to imagine what people are going to do with a dozen bottles of 91% iso.
