  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

    Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I'm still fairly inexperienced, but thus far I am a huge fan of Fuente/Ashton. La Aroma de Cuba has been good to me lately as well. Generally speaking, I'm struggling to find a taste for peppery/strong Nicaraguan sticks, though I will keep trying!

Fuente makes some of my favorites. Haven’t gotten into Ashton as much - any stick you’d recommend in particular? I’ve found with the Nicaraguans that if you let them sit for 9-12 months, they mellow out considerably! They still have that *pop*, but not as bitey as some can be

The Ashton Classic was the first "good" cigar I ever tried and its still one of my favorites. The Cabinet Selection is wonderful too, but the Aged Maduro is my absolute favorite. I bought a fiver last month.

Have you tried the Melanio yet? Much different flavor profile. I didn't like the regular V at 1st. But loved and still love the Melanio
