After the bottle has been open for a few weeks, try a bit more neat or with a couple drops. My Granny's changed fairly drastically after being open several weeks (for the better).
Tried the sample I got last night, and it was very good. Some of the attributes of Stagg Jr, although not as nice a "mouth feel" or finish. I would definitely grab a pick if one of my locals gets one.
I don't think I'll need to tell him (or any of my friends) to grab all they can if they see that price (or even $49 or $59) and no limit. I think he sent a bunch of friends a bottle, but if he gets more I'll tell them my young friend is jonesin' for one.

I hear ya on the "fads" but we've already passed the craft beer craze and we are now in the bourbon fad faze. I see movement towards Rum so I'm hoping they (profiteers) move along.Bourbon buying is a hot mess. Wish craft beer would take the spotlight again for awhile, or even rum or tequila.
:Last night I finished off a 13 year WP single barrel SP and cracked a new, different WP (15 year 7 month single barrel pick).
The new one (Bacon) has a finish that reminds me of wasabi....luckily more the flavor than that much heat. And I still have a backup on the Bazooka.
