Been curious to try this one for a while, so I snagged a single. It is apparently "finished on aged wood from tequila barrels". I don't pick up on much of the citrus/agave/oak notes they mention. In comparison to the original, this one does have a slightly cleaner, "flatter" taste, but not necessarily in a bad way. More in a straightforward, non-fancy beach beer kinda way. In summary...not bad for a macro. Also...I forgot how damn good a frozen schooner makes a beer taste.

A great hoppy Pilsner.
It is so freaking good. I remember years ago on a cabin vacation, my wife getting me a sixer of it, along with a sixer of Boston Lager. Hadn't tried either of them before but was blown away by both. They both have that "hops CAN be subtle, dammit" thing going.
