I don't know. I really like his brands but the cigar industry is like any other industry. Supply & demand. Marketing. Control those three things and you can set any price you want.

not sure what the big deal is. davidoff makes good cigars. you want to talk about quality control, try anything kelner makes.

quality construction for sure. reputation for sure. but nary a one that i would choose to smoke. they just don't hit my profile at all, especially at their price point. and, at least to me, seem to be polar opposites in their style and substance from pete's products.
so that probably means it could happen..............

try the seleccion 702. super spicy. w/ the camacho acquisition, they are venturing into different avenues than before. the cusano thing was strange. they made cusano. then they bought it. paid for it twice. weird. pete doesn't make sense, something like Padron or pepin does.

Davidoff - DR
Camacho - Honduras
Padron or pepin - Nicaragua

you'd have all bases covered there. it's getting pretty unsettled in that region, makes sense to have factories everywhere.
