My dress box arrived yesterday, sticks smell great. The box was beat to shit, I thought, "F#CK!". Then realized it was suppose to look like that. Only complain is there's barely ANY blood on my box. Boy that sounds weird, never thought I'd complain about that...

I got 5 boxes of the dress box. I got one for myself and 4 others for other brothers. I had received 4 of those boxes and i will say that every one is completely different. a couple of them hardly have any blood on them, one is completely splattered with blood and one just has blood on the side. Also a few of them are really uneven and the wood is completely warped. I must say i love that every box is unique. Very cool idea indeed!

My "home" B&M was not just one of the Unlucky 13, but also had Pete there in person on October 12th to release the cigars. The way they conducted their sales, at least to me, and I'm certain to most of you, was very simple. They gave their regular customers first stab at purchase at the Tatuaje event from 6pm-9pm and you had a chance to get the box signed by Pete. Then what was left (due to weather, a rather large event the previous Saturday etc) there were a pretty good amount of both the dress box and the 10 box left over, all were sold out the next day. I opted to pick up 4 myself and smoked one that night and put the other 3 back. I purchased a mix and match box of Tat products in order to get the 3 pack of Blacks, hat and cigar box opener.

I also know that the crew at Uptown's did not charge over MSRP for the sticks.

Uptown's was solid with the way they handled it in my book :applause:

Thought I'd give 3 J's C Cigar in South Florida a shout out on here, one of the unlucky 13. They opted to have a lottery for their boxes and I managed to snag one. I just got a box of black tubos from them last week and their shipping and customer service was top notch. Don't think I would have been able to snag a dress box without the lottery. Thanks Noah!

Also, as far as the blood on the boxes. I sat there and looked at a stack of 30 (really wish I snapped a picture!) and there was a REALLY big difference in the "splatter patter". To me, that was part of the cool part of the look. If you get a chance to really look at them the "band" is located in different spots too. The irregular appearance of it while still being good was part of the draw to it for me.

They were giving extra entries for commenting on their blog & for box purchases of Tats. So with the number of entries I had, I figured it was a statistical certainty I'd walk away with one of the two different boxes lol! my 16 entries out of maybe 500 entries x 30 boxes...had to happen lol.

Pete hesitated to announce 13 retailer's name officially? If it is so, I can't buy The Face from Japan...

The day he announced it, Uptown's starting getting calls. I imagine that's what it was like for the other retailers. I think about the only way you can get them now is to really walk into them at one of the top retailers. If I get a chance, I may pick up another 5 pack.

I smoked one the night of the Uptown's Event and it was good. I'm a little different than most people when it comes to judging a cigar however. I base a lot of it on how far away from "the norm" a new product is. Part of the reason I like The Face is simply because it's not like another Tat. Sure, it has the same filler and binder, but the wrapper is different, which gave the overall smoke a much different flavor. It started out with a little sweet taste and honestly, I found it boring. I started to think "Great, what a let down" then it got A LOT better. It will fool you with the strength. That nice sweet flavor was like a "rope-a-dope". If you enjoy Tat product and can find this cigar, pick it up to try it. I'm currently on the hunt for a Frank and a 5er of Pork Tenderloin's just because I have yet to try either one of those. Unfortunately I heard about the Tenderloin too late, which was part of the reason I wanted to get more active on these forums.

I smoked one tonight that was gifted to me....hope to get a dress box soon......

My wife, who hates cigars, came out and said "Are you smoking something different tonight?", "It smells sweeter than the others you smoke..."

When she comes out and notices a difference then the cigar is something really good!
