• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Noob Humidor

That's what I have used when taking a bunch of sticks on a trip once because I lost my cigar caddy. An ammo box, or anything that seals air-tight works well enough, you just need to keep the humidity up so what you have doesnt crack and dry out. Like Bugman said, a moistened paper-towel does for...

    Cigar order problem.....

Do you have any R&J CC's ? They are great for not being spicy or overpowering. How about a Hoyo Petite Robusto ? I would also think a lot of Ashton products would fit well for an early smoke. Punch London Club ... I have recently found those little gems. If this list doesnt help, you might need...

    Cigar order problem.....

Just thinking that a RASS would do well, or a Carlos Torano Exodus 1959 (50 year or regular), those would be my thoughts.

A Review of a Different Kind

I am not sure if that was meant to be a joke or if someone was just trying to make a point, but it was damn hillarious. I love the "cockmaster" referance.

    Cigar Source

I would ABSOLUTELY love to agree with you LTS, but where I live, you cannot smoke indoors...ANYWHERE. This is rediculous, I know, but it is the law. I have never had the chance to smoke in a cigar shop as they all went smoke-free about 4-5 years ago just as I was getting serious with cigars. I...

    Whole House Humidification

I second...er third...er...well I agree with the other posters here. If your humidor won't maintain humidity, you are having a problem. The MAIN REASON for getting a humidifier in your ductwork is to keep the rest of the house at a decent humidity. Hardwood floors and other wood products in the...

    Cigar Source

I have very VERY little choice, but the only site I have found that is willing to work with me is Atlantic Cigar. They have been great over the last almost 2 years of ording. Prices are excellent and people know what they are talking about when you call or email. I cannot afford to buy from the...

    '09 rass

I have 7 sticks left and another full box of Feb 08' RASS' left and they are great ! I think these are one of the most under-priced CC out there. The quality never seems to waiver, and the taste seems to remain constant. Good review...your stick looks absolutely identical to all of mine, that...

    Whole House Humidification

You deffinitely need a humidifier ! I also live in a dry climate and it is terrible in the winter without any humidification. Your Honeywell link is a decent humdifier that will do just fine, those are what is called a "flow-through" humdifier as fresh water runs down the humidifaction pad...

Thoughts and Ideas for this wine cabinet

If that unit came with a compressor for cooling, then it must have a fan on the evaperator inside the unit to move air around for cooling. If you disconnected the power going to the compressor terminals, you could essentially have yourself a fan at the top of that box that circulates air for...

    New Guy from Cincinnati, OH

I second that motion. I graduated from a desktop humi, within 6 months of getting it, to a converted mini-fridge. You will find that once you start reading these forums, possibly listening to podcasts\reviewers, and learning more....that desktop won't be big enough (don't worry about buying...

    Cigar prices in Cuba

I was in Cuba in Jan\10. The prices are deffinitely different, but not by a whole lot for the most part, depends if you factor in shipping if it is included with your order. These prices were all directly from the Casa del Habano store in Varadero, there were 2 there, but this one was the...

WOW that is amazing, I thought I was the only one around here that liked the MX2's. I love that taste you can't get from any other cigar in those rich chocolately sticks. Welcome and hope to hear more. BTW; I love me some RP Decades as well !!

    Cello: Yea or Nea?

I would rather see them than the shiny man-made material surrounding each one. The smells of an opened humi are wonderful to me when they are all naked heh. If I know that a box that came with cello is going to be the "everyday travel around stick" variety, the cello gets left on for better...

What Humidity do keep your cigars at?

68-69% for me especially in the winter (8 months a year haha) because I know that when I take the sticks out for more than 20 mins, they are going to dry out fast. I also know that if I carry a stick around with me in cellophane or a extra tube for protection but dont smoke it within a few...

You think you pay too much ?

I just came back from Whitehorse, Yukon. I was there on a business trip and brought some sticks with me as I am knowledgable to the overpricing that goes on in retail shops here in Canada. I had packed my cigar case with a few leftover sticks into my luggage which was checked in, when the lady...

    Hi from Toronto

Yes we get taxed on everything coming in. In fact we get a tobacco tax, then they take their duty...which is another form of tax after they add the tobacco tax, hence the 260% added to the price when shipped.
