• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

NC to CC Convertion Chart ????

I am another person on the "can't pinpoint similarities between CC and NC". They are different, they are your interpretation and they can both be really good or really bad. Try some out, if you find bad CC's it was most likely a fake or rolled badly. I tend to stick with NC's as they are less...

    Smoking in your car

Same as above mostly. I smoke in my 2 vehicles all winter long on the driveway as there really is no-where esle to go. The same thing works for both vehicles and you cant tell that I smoke cigars in them. Like stated before, if you produce a pressure differential in the cabin of the vehicle...

Welcome fellow newb. I love your sense of taste already, I am an Oliva Serie V Torpedo guy...so much hefty flavors in those sticks.

    New guy from Tennessee

Welcome, and judging by what most of the others post here, you better get a bigger humidor as 70 isnt going to be enough to satisfy a hungry cigar appetite heh.

    Yo from Nawlins

Welcome. I may be from way the hell up north, but NO is my fav. city. Was there 2 months before Katrina hit and got to see the french quarter and all the other cool stuff around that area before the flooding. If the wife had her way, we would be moving to Baton Rouge next week heh. At least I...

    Smoky Clothes

I have the same problem with the wife absolutely hating the smell. I usually have my cigar after the kids go to bed in the evening. In the summer I get the pleasure of gifting nature with my wonderful past-times aroma on the deck, but when the temp. dips below a comfortable point, I have to...

Cigar Safari Trip #3 of 2010-2011 featuring BOTL / Brothers of the Leaf

Good job, nice to see a video instead of just pictures all the time, kinda makes things look realistic and easier to follow.

    The Official Budget Stick Thread

Well my personal favorite "cheapie" smoke is the Don Tomas Classico Natural Robusto. $62 for a box of 25, so its less than 3 bucks a stick, and it never fails to sooth my appetite when I am in the mood for something that I cant devote my attention to fully but they have enough flavour to keep me...

    Show/List your latest CC Purchase

I have some. They are called fakes. The father in law thought he was getting an amazing deal when a baseball team from Cuba came here for a tournament and he bought a box of Esplendidos and Monte #2's...needless to say, they taste like cardboard and anise. If someone tells you they got some for...

What is your favorite Habano brand?

This question is kind of biased towards older, more experienced smokers as I haven't had the funds to experiment with all different kinds. I do however like the fact that in the Monte line there are at least 4 different great cigars that, if the moon is right and the wind blows in a certain...

Partagas Serie D. No. 4. review

MiamiE, I am in the same boat as you. I had a sampling of different sticks from different places while in Cuba, and to be honest they weren't much better than most of what you can get domestically. For myself, in the robusto size, the RASS kicked the PSDN4's butt in outright flavor...but that's...

    CC Montecisto #2

Bought a box of these when I went down to Cuba in Jan. I had a couple singles there that blew me away with the flavors that I got. I have smoked 4 or 5 from my box so far, they are deffinitely a great cigar. The only smoke I had there that came close to it was the Cohiba Siglo V in terms of a...

    Padron cigars

Until recently, I had never smoked a Padron either, so don't be ashamed hah. I just figured that I would work up to the "upper echelon" of cigars before I dove right in. I don't see any point in wasting that much money if you can't taste the difference on a young palet...not saying mine is...

BOTL Cigar Safari 2010 Last Man Standing

That trip sounds unbelievable. I can't wait untill January, if I can experience something close to that when I go, I will be a happy man. Thanks for sharing, a little insight goes a long way.
