• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    What's your cold weather/quick smoke?

Half Corona's, best under $3 cigar out there I think. Really hate smoking cigars in the cold tho so usually break out a pipe instead.

    What is "cuban-esque"?

I would love to say that I am pretty good at telling country of origin for a cigar but I think one of the best I have seen at blind taste tests in NJstone. Bob did some blind tastings last year and he came up with some exact cigars even tho he had never tried them before. That said not in.

Cigar Aficionado Top 25 for 2011

Think they try to stick with what is available at the time. And as much as some of us may have access to Dunhills and Davi's not going to say most will. There is no way everyone will be happy with their format but I think the intent is the 25 best cigars smoked by them. With the # of new...

Cigar Aficionado Top 25 for 2011

Why? Because then you really couldn't include CC's at all as other the EL's and such they maybe release 3 cigars a year. Also I think then it would put too much emphasis on new or EL cigars. Many here complain about too many new releases already never mind the average consumer that walks into a...

    car smoking?

I don't smoke all the time in my new car but if you are stuck in traffic it can help you relax. It is amazing that if you know you are going to be stuck for say an hour and a half and light an apropiately long cigar you are no longer in a rush. If you don't you can be the road rage idiot trying...

Cigar Aficionado Top 25 for 2011

Here is hoping you are right but I am not expecting much. Havana article sold magazines as it was by far the best issue they have done in years. Putting more cc's into the top 10 doesn't help sell or bring in more revenue so we shall have to see. CC's have always rated fairly well as Suckling...

Cigar Aficionado Top 25 for 2011

Really I am only expecting 3 CC's. Habanos doesn't advertise that much Really shouldn't be. As far as I am concerned these were only any good when fresh off of the table. Right now people are buying them in hopes they become good.

    Habanos Construction

Now I have in many cases fallen into the the standard thought tha Habanos construction is never as good as NC. I had one of the only exceptions last night. I will start this by saying that my standards for perfect construction are really high. For perfect it must burn even. Preferably the ash...

    Ohhh...This is so MINE!!!

I have not had much luck with xikar lighter. Executive had a weak barely adjustable flame, had a double torch that had metal decorative pieces that the scres came out of so they fell off. Had a nice single torch but it really only worked at one setting. Had a flintfire which other then feeling a...

    New Opus X

The last couple of these boxes I have bought have been $750 and $650. That is for the 09 and 10 years. If you check the prometheus website I believe they list MSRP at $950. I buy a lot of cigars and have been lucky to get pretty good discounts on most of them a lot due to great brothers here...
